István Klotcz or as he is known throughout the city, Öcsi Klotcz, began his apprenticeship as a waiter at the Dicső restaurant on September 1, 1969. By acquiring the profession, his great dream of working in the hospitality industry came true. He began his career at the Hotel Dombóvár, which opened in 1971, and then in the 70s and 80s he strengthened the team of the very popular Halászcsárda in the area. Over time, he increasingly desired independence, which he achieved by renting the Omnia Presszó belonging to the Hotel. A few years later, the entire Hotel came under his management. In 1989, the opportunity arose to purchase the business premises under the family's apartment. Thus, the now well-known FORTUNA Restaurant was established.
The name FORTUNA and the name of István Klotcz are synonymous with homemade, delicious food and traditional hospitality. The initial six-table food bar was expanded with a non-smoking room after ten years and laid the foundations for today's restaurant.

The change became necessary due to the more than twenty years that have passed in the meantime and the need to adapt to a more modern restaurant that meets current needs. From 2010, István Klotcz Jr. took over the business tasks, who, following his father's example, also found his future in hospitality. He learned the basics of the chef's craft in the Hotel under his father's guidance. After obtaining his profession in 1991, he developed his skills for a short time at home, then in Austria and Germany. In the new millennium, he served on 4-5 star ships, where he became a chef within a short time thanks to his persistent work and dedication to the profession.
With the experience he had gained, he finally returned home and took over the baton from his father.
The intimate atmosphere of the restaurant is largely determined by the perseverance and love of work of the staff, who form a small family.
